  • Taylor Jordan

    Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Environmental Observation and Prediction, NOAA

    Taylor Jordan is NOAA's Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Environmental Observation and Prediction. Mr. Jordan is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight regarding NOAA’s numerical weather prediction and environmental modeling, satellite programs and space innovation, novel data and observations, uncrewed systems, and other large acquisitions.

    Mr. Jordan previously served as Principal at Innovative Federal Strategies, where he supported new partnerships for many of NOAA’s mission areas. He also served at NOAA previously as a Senior Policy Advisor and worked on the Hill for close to a decade as the lead staffer for NOAA on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, where he authored the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017.

    Mr. Jordan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.

  • Jim Bridenstine

    Managing Partner, Artemis group

    Jim Bridenstine, former NASA Administrator and current managing partner of The Artemis Group, has served the U.S. as a Navy pilot, Congressman, and leader of America’s space program. Appointed by President Trump and confirmed by the Senate, he managed NASA’s 70,000-person workforce and $23B budget, spearheading the Artemis program to return humans to the Moon and prepare for Mars missions, advancing technologies like the Orion capsule, Space Launch System, and Gateway lunar station. Under his leadership, NASA restored U.S. human spaceflight through commercial partnerships, launched the Commercial Lunar Payload Services program, and drove aeronautics innovation with projects like the X-59 supersonic aircraft and X-57 electric plane.   • Sarah Mineiro

    CEO & Founder, Tanagra Enterprises

    She’s shaped U.S. defense strategy from the Pentagon to Capitol Hill—and now she’s rewriting the playbook for national security, intelligence, and emerging technology.

    As the CEO and Founder of Tanagra Enterprises, Sarah Mineiro brings two decades of experience navigating the most complex arenas of defense, intelligence, and legislative power. Her career spans private industry, the Executive and Legislative branches, and leadership roles that directly influenced the future of space and military strategy.

    Before Tanagra, Sarah was the Senior Director of Space Strategy at Anduril Industries, a defense tech unicorn building AI-driven systems for modern warfare. She served as the Staff Director for the Strategic Forces Subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee, driving legislation that created the U.S. Space Force and Space Command.

    She’s held roles at the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, the Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs, and began her career as an intelligence analyst for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center.

    Sarah has served on Defense Business Board and Defense Innovation Board. She is a non-resident fellow with CSIS’ Aerospace Defense Project. She has received the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Office of the Secretary of Defense Exceptional Civilian Service Award, and several other awards. She is an active investor and board member for companies that ignite her creativity and commitment.

  • Rep. John H. Rutherford

    Congressman, FL-05

    U.S. Congressman John H. Rutherford (FL-05) is serving his fifth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He sits on the House Appropriations Committee and serves on the Homeland Security; Military Construction and Veterans Affairs; and Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development subcommittees.

    A lifelong Jacksonville resident, John studied criminology at Florida State University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the National Executive Institute. He began his law enforcement career in 1974 as a patrolman with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and later served three terms as Sheriff of Duval County. Over twelve years as sheriff, he led a 3,200-person agency, helped drive homicide and violent crime to a 40-year low using intelligence-led, community-based policing, and prioritized mental health in the criminal justice system to reduce recidivism.

    John also chaired the Legislative Committee of the Florida Sheriffs Association, where he advocated for policies to strengthen constitutional rights, support law enforcement, and enhance public safety across Florida.

  • Dr. Derek Tournear

    Director of Auburn University’s Space Innovation Hub

    Dr. Derek Tournear, Director of Auburn University’s Space Innovation Hub, leads the institution’s mission to position Auburn as a national powerhouse in multi-disciplinary space innovation. Before joining Auburn in 2025, he served as Director of the Space Development Agency (SDA) from 2019–2025, transforming it from a 12-person, $20M operation into a 470-person organization with a $4.6B budget and pioneering the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, with dozens of satellites already launched. Previously, he held senior roles in the Department of Defense and industry, including Harris Corporation, DARPA, IARPA, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dr. Tournear earned a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford and a B.S. from Purdue, and his contributions have been recognized with awards such as the 2024 W. Stuart Symington Award and the 2021 Theodore Roosevelt Government Leadership Award.

  • Charles Beames

    Founder, Small Satellite Alliance

    Mr. Charles Beames is currently the Chairman of York Space Systems, a leader in commercial small satellite design, manufacturing, and operations.

    He also serves as the Executive Chairman of TrustPoint, SpiderOak, and the SmallSat Alliance (SSA). Previously, he served as President at Vulcan Aerospace, managing asset allocation of Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen’s $1B aerospace and technology investment portfolio, as well as directing all aspects of the Stratolaunch project.

    Beames brings executive-level experience across the space and military industries, including technology development, operations, and private/venture capital investment. Prior to leading Vulcan Aerospace, he was a member of the Senior Executive Service, holding several executive positions with the Department of Defense, including Principal Director, Space & Intelligence Systems in the Pentagon. He served 23 years on active duty as an Air Force space and intelligence officer, retiring as a colonel.

  • Melanie Stricklan

    Chief Innovation & Advancement Office, Space Foundation

    Melanie Stricklan is Chief Innovation and Advancement Officer at the Space Foundation, where she drives enterprise transformation, revenue growth, and strategic partnerships, and serves as Executive Director of Space Workforce for Tomorrow (SWFT). She co‑founded and led Slingshot Aerospace, scaling it into a global leader in AI‑powered orbital intelligence, raising over $100M, and delivering mission-critical platforms for government and commercial customers. A former U.S. Air Force officer with 21 years of service, Stricklan has advised the White House and federal agencies on space policy and workforce readiness, with her work cited in congressional testimony.   • Debra Facktor

    Head of Space Systems, Airbus U.S. Space & Defense

    Debra Facktor is Head of U.S. Space Systems at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, leading the company’s U.S. space business with a focus on small satellites and space exploration activities. She serves on the board of Starlab Space LLC and previously on the board of Airbus OneWeb Satellites. Before Airbus, she held senior leadership roles at Ball Aerospace, AirLaunch, and Kistler Aerospace, and served as an industry professor and research center director. An active aerospace leader, she is a fellow of AIAA and AAS and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan.

  • Doug Jarl

    Managing Director and Head of Aerospace, Defense & Government Services, Truist

    Doug leads Truist’s ADGS sector, advising companies across Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services. With over a decade in the industry, he has deep experience originating and executing M&A and capital markets transactions, including sell- and buy-side deals, IPOs, and leveraged financings. Doug works closely with senior management teams, boards, and financial sponsors to provide strategic advice on complex transactions and growth initiatives. Previously, Melanie held senior roles at Stratolaunch and the Pentagon, and began her career as an acquisitions officer in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 2014.     Colonel Tim Trimailo is the Director of the Commercial Space Office (COMSO) at Space Systems Command (SSC), where he leads the integration of commercial capabilities across all U.S. Space Force mission areas. He oversees more than $1 billion in investments executing a “buy before build” approach to close critical capability gaps while engaging senior DoD leadership, Congress, and industry.

    Previously, Col. Trimailo served as Program Manager for the Space Development Agency’s Missile Tracking Layer and led SSC’s proliferated LEO prototyping efforts, including the Blackjack demonstration with DARPA. His career spans satellite operations, acquisition and sustainment of MILSATCOM systems, intelligence program leadership at the NRO, and executive service in the Air Force Legislative Liaison office. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, he commissioned in 2005.

    Luke Fischer is the Co-Founder and CEO of SkyFi, an industry-leading Earth intelligence company headquartered in Austin, Texas. Luke began his career as a US Army Special Operations aviator where he led teams in the most demanding environments.   • John Paul "JP" Parker

    CEO, Escape Velocity

    After 14 years in industry and 18 years as a senior government executive, JP founded and became CEO of Escape Velocity in 2022, a boutique national security advisory firm. He currently serves as a subject matter expert to the Defense Science Board and holds affiliations with the University of Maryland, the Potomac Institute, the National Security Space Association, and Silverthread.

    Previously, JP was the founding U.S. Intelligence Community Space Executive, serving as the principal space policy advisor to the Director of National Intelligence and National Intelligence Manager for space threats. He also served as Special Advisor to the Vice President for space, cyber, intelligence, WMD, and S&T, with leadership roles in reestablishing the National Space Council and shaping national space and cybersecurity strategy. Earlier, he founded and led the Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center, a Presidentially designated federal cybersecurity center.

  • Kate van Dam

    Head of Government, SkyFi

    Kate van Dam is SkyFi’s Head of Government, where she leads the federal and international government portfolio, advancing initiatives that turn geospatial data into mission-ready intelligence for decision-makers worldwide. Kate began her career in the Marine Corps. A snake pilot by trade, Kate saw combat in Afghanistan and supported counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden. Prior to joining SkyFi, Kate led NRO and FBI MissionPartnerships at InQTel, bridging cutting-edge startups with US government security priorities. She also served as a White House Fellow supporting executive-level disaster response.

    Kate is a graduate of the US Naval Academy with an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS. Her expertise in geospatial intelligence and national security has been featured in various media outlets and publications.

  • John Neal

    Executive Director of Space Policy, U.S. Chamber

    John Neal serves as the Executive Director for Space Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where he leads the Chamber’s Space Industry Council.

    Previously, John spent nearly 10 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent where he conducted national security and criminal investigations while assigned to the Buffalo and Washington Field Offices.  John served on active duty in the Pacific and Middle East as an airborne reconnaissance direct support officer with the U.S. Navy, and worked in legislative affairs for both the FBI and the Navy.

    Following the FBI, John joined the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security where he served as a Senior Professional Staff member on the Counterterrorism and Intelligence subcommittee, and the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Protection and Security Technologies subcommittee advising the Chairman and Members on cyber, national security, and financial services matters. 

    Outside of government, John has held business development and sales leadership roles with leading technology companies including PlanetLabs and NXP Semiconductors.  John received his BA in Government from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

  • Dr. Russ Teehan

    Technical Director, SDA

    Russ Teehan is the Technical Director at the Space Development Agency (SDA), responsible for the enterprise architectural planning, technology road-mapping, and advanced concept development in support of future Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) Tranches.

    Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA will quickly deliver needed space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the PWSA.

    Prior to his current role, he completed a 3-year sabbatical in industry where he led enterprise architecting, mission integration, and advanced concept development teams at Northrop Grumman and Amazon’s Project Kuiper.

    Russ served in a variety of assignments during his 28 years in the Air and Space Forces, including commanding multiple Space and Missile Systems Center and Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) 500+-member organizations chartered to architect the future space architecture and rapidly design, build, and operationally deploy various space experiments and operational prototypes to Air and Space Forces. He also performed weapons research at AFRL, was Assistant Professor of Physics at USAF Academy, Special Programs Management, and served in multiple Air Staff and Office of Secretary of Defense Pentagon assignments.

    Russ entered the Air Force in 1993, as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and holds multiple advanced degrees in physics, military arts and sciences, and national resource strategy.

    Douglas Loverro is President of Loverro Consulting, LLC and a widely respected national security space leader with over 45 years of experience in senior government roles, including NASA’s head of Human Exploration and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, as well as leadership positions at DoD and the NRO. He holds advanced degrees in physics, political science, and business, and is a distinguished graduate of multiple military and defense colleges.   • Andrew Rush

    Andrew Rush, President & CEO of Star Catcher

    Andrew is a seasoned space industry executive recognized for scaling pioneering ventures and driving transformational growth. He first rose to prominence as President & CEO of Made In Space, leading the company from early startup to a profitable space technology leader that achieved historic milestones, including the first-ever manufacturing in space and development of the first satellite capable of in-orbit manufacturing and assembly.     Kip Gering is the CEO of SpiderOak, a technology and services company delivering cybersecurity solutions to the defense and space industry. He has 25+ years of experience in the cybersecurity, defense, and industrial IoT sectors providing connectivity, sensing, and communication. Prior to SpiderOak, Kip held sales and business development executive roles at Xage Security, a zero-trust access management software provider for industrial enterprises and defense. Prior to transitioning to the cybersecurity industry, Kip held executive positions in marketing and product management at NES & Itron delivering some of the first IoT networks and critical operational management, security, and analytical software for the utility industry worldwide.   • Honorable John Plumb

    Dr. John F. Plumb served as the first Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy from April 2022-May 2024. In this role he was responsible for the overall supervision of space warfighting policy for the Department of Defense.
